Located 38 kilometres north of Broome, The Willie Creek Pearl Farm is perfectly situated on the protected tidal estuary of Willie Creek. A natural harbour, the warm azure waters of the creek provide a perfect growing environment for the Pinctada maxima oyster and produces world renowned South Sea Pearls.
The only pearl farm in the Kimberley offering tours to the public, visitors can learn first hand about the pearling industry in Western Australia and how South Sea Pearls are grown. It's a fascinating excursion which includes a cruise on Willie Creek to view pearl farming operations.
Learn how pearl technicians seed an oyster to produce a pearl and view a live demonstration of this remarkable operation. The tour concludes with a further insight into the world of pearls in the Kimberley's most remote pearl showroom, on the banks of Willie Creek! You can also take the opportunity to enjoy lunch or a snack in the brand new cafe which overlooks the waters of Willie Creek. Tours are available daily.

This is a great time to stretch and take a moment to enjoy the beauty of the shaded grounds and farm house verandahs before the tour begins. You'll have plenty of time after the tour, but you may also want to browse through the well appointed pearl showroom and gift shop to view an extensive display of local handcrafted jewellery and loose pearls as well as Willie Creek Pearls souvenir and gift items. The pearl farm is only open to the public at guided tour times, however, and we ask that you phone ahead to confirm your place on a tour. A four wheel drive vehicle is recommended. Warning: If you are unfamiliar with Broome tides, check with the Tourist Bureau before embarking on your drive.
