On one side of the cottage is a private garden hidden behind an old post and rail fence built by the original pioneers of the property and it is sheltered by the spreading branches of an old pepper tree. Views of this perfumed garden can be had from the big floor to ceiling window of the only bedroom or from the floor to ceiling sliding glass door from the kitchen/ living room. This secluded cottage has its own very private setting. Mulberry Tree CottageThis three bedroom cottage is built on the site of the pioneer homestead that burnt down in 1988. Recently refurbished, this cottage still retains the elements of an old fashioned country homestead (with some modern touches). The cottage has verandas both front and back with river views from the front. There is dedicated spa room about one and a half metres off the ground and accessed across a short walkway from the front veranda. This "high off the ground" room, coupled with two windows with their river views, give a feeling of being amongst the tree tops. The cottage has a light, airy and comfortable kitchen/dining/living area with floor to ceiling sliding glass doors bring the outside in to the cottage. The main bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a double bed and the third, two singles. A timber outdoor setting on the front veranda provides a pleasant alfresco dining area and there is a gas barbecue on the back veranda.
