Eagle Vale Estate
Eagle Vale Estate is a boutique winery just south of the Margaret River town-ship in the South West corner of Western Australia. Only three kilometres from the coast of the Indian Ocean, Eagle Vale experiences a temperate maritime climate. Combining this with the protective trees of the surrounding national park, spring is frost free and the ripening season is long and mild. A long ripening season allows the grapes to develop more complexities and a good concentration of flavours.
Combining modern and traditional techniques enables Eagle Vale to produce stylish and elegant wines, with a definite individuality. Everything is done by hand with emphasis put on a low impact vineyard management. A team of Guinea fowls does the job of pesticides and an annual cover crop between the rows serves to control weeds and hold the soil, whilst later providing natural mulch and nutrients. The vines are not irrigated with a very low yield maintaining good concentration.
Family run, Eagle Vale is welcoming and aims to be as informative as possible. The Cellar Door tasting and sales facility is modern with an artistic flair. Perched on the hillside you get superb views of the entire property. Located at Lot 51 Caves Road, two kilometres south of the Redgate Beach turn-off, only 15 minutes from Margaret River.
