Greenbushes Eco Cultural Discovery Centre
Take a fascinating tour of the Greenbushes Eco Cultural Discovery Centre to gain an insight into the natural and cultural environment of the Southwest. Learn about the influence man has had on the local environment. Discover the history of the mining town of Greenbushes and the surrounding areas and see the open cut mine from the mine lookout. Children of all ages will be entertained by the games and interactive learning experience on offer.
The discovery centre is open on Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 2pm. If your visit to Greenbushes falls during the week an appointment can usually be made by calling ahead.
The discovery centre forms part of the South West Heritage and Industry Working Life Trail which explores the historical attractions created by man to help develop the successful State’s southwest as it is today. Take a leisurely driving tour of the southwest on a two to four day tour to see, learn about the working man’s past. Greenbushes is a two and a half hour drive south of Perth.
