Telyarup Homestead
Eleven kilometres west of the town on the Broomehill and/or Jerramungup road stands a reminder of bygone days, Telyarup Homestead.
Built in 1910 by wealthy Michael Corbett, the spreading brick building was the envy of the district. For many years, Telyarup was regarded as a showpiece where the latest farming methods were implemented and Percheron horses from France were bred as a lighter alternative to the Clydesdale. It is regarded as one of the grand old homesteads in the south of Western Australia.
