Albany Old Gaol Museum
Built in 1851 as a convict hiring depot. By 1908 it had ceased to be used for its original purpose and was used as a storehouse for the Western Australian Land company.
From 1912 to 1959 it was used for various storage purposes and then stood derelict and forlorn for a number of years.
Since 1968 the buildings have been vested in the Albany Historical Society and of late extensive renovations have commenced to restore the buildings to their original appearance. The buildings now house relics of the first and second World Wars, Aboriginal artifacts, pioneer's tools and equipment and vehicles.
Parties by arrangement.
