Steam Locomotive Museum

Trains were purchased and restored with the help of the Collie Apex Club after being abandoned by the Government when the change from coal to oil took place.

The small engine 'Polly' has been in the area since early 1911 and was originally a traction engine when driven overland from Kelmscott to Collie.

There is also a 54RB mechanical shovel which was used in the coal mines in the 1960'sand 1970's on display. The excavator still has it's original 4.5 yard bucket attached which moved approximately nine million tonnes of coal in it's working life.

The exhibit is currently closed to the public until further notice but can be viewed from the boundary fence.
