Valley Of The Giants Gallery
The Valley of the Giants Gallery exhibits established, emerging and Indigenous Artists and is the studio of D.J. Brennan. Des has travelled Australia documenting life and landscapes in drawing, painting and sculpture. Des's four decade professional career resulted in numerous one-man exhibitions and commissions. He is also a University of Western Australia Summer Schools Lecturer and in1990 lived and worked with Aboriginal Community Arnhemland. Des also conducts workshops and private tutoring.
Valley Of The Giants Gallery is on Valley Of The Giants Road in Walpole-Nornalup National Park, west of Denmark town, home of the Valley Of The Giants Tree Top Walk. The Gallery is within 10 minutes of the Valley Of The Giants Tree Top Walk and two minutes from Denmark Dinosaur World on Bandit Road Bow Bridge
The mediums are varied, paintings, sculpture, pottery, furniture. There is a large range of prints available. Visitors are welcome to view the artworks in the gallery and the garden where there are places to relax and enjoy the ducks on the pond. Des, resident artist, loves his llamas and will feed them for the children. Des has captured the local fisherman pastoral scenes and more.
There is an excellent exhibition of traditional paintings from North East Arnemland. “From The Top End”. Visitors can experience visual storytelling from north east Arnhemland Indigenous Artists, a culture as old as time.
The Denmark environment, history and culture, has inspired prominence in the Arts. The Giant Gallery exhibit many of these exceptionally talented artists’ works; in wood, clay, glass, metal, bead and textiles, woodturning, carving, cabinetry and furniture, potting, quilting, painting, photography and more. The Gallery exhibits many prominent Western Australian artists that reside outside of the Denmark district. There is something for everyone.
