The Gorge Albany
The natural rock formation of The Gorge in Albany offers stunning views over the windswept coastline.
The Gorge has been created by the powerful Southern Ocean rushing in and out between sheer cliffs. It’s narrower and longer than The Gap, which is nearby.
Just a short distance away is The Blowholes which is well worth a visit when the seas are moderately rough. Here air and water spray shoot upwards through a crack line in the granite.
The Gorge is part of Torndirrup National Park which is renowned for its rugged coastal features.
The area is a 15 minute drive from Albany across Princess Royal Harbour. Albany is a four and a half hour drive from Perth or you can fly there in just over an hour.
