John Holland Memorial Park
The John Holland Memorial Park is named after John Holland. A small monument to John Holland and his party is on the site from where they set out from.
On April 14 1893 John Holland and his team left Broomehill to cut a direct route from Broomehill in the Great Southern to the Western Australian goldfields. John Holland's opening up of the 530 kilometre Holland Track to Coolgardie in 1893 shortened the journey by a fortnight or more.
The John Holland Memorial Park is the perfect spot for a picnic with barbecue and toilets facilities.
Broomehill is located three and a half hours drive south east of Perth.
