Donnelly River Cruises
Donnelly River Cruises provides a unique cruise of the lower twelve-kilometre section of the Donnelly River, located in the D’Entrecasteaux National Park, in the South West of Western Australia.
The tour begins with a courtesy pick up, from the Karri Valley Resort bus park near Pemberton, and a 6km air-conditioned bus trip into the Park. The atmosphere of the four-hour cruise is to “sit back, relax and enjoy”. The cruise commences in Jarrah bush land and meanders through the diversified eco systems of the river. From the lush Jarrah and Karri forests, through the Paperbark and wetlands, to the Limestone cliffs and majestic Southern Ocean. On the way you will cruise past the unique holiday huts nestled amongst the towering Marri trees and coastal sand dunes. The only access to the entire area is by boat ensuring the pristine quality of the area.
While at the mouth of the river, you are given the opportunity to disembark and walk along the beach for about half an hour. The beach is approximately two kilometres long confined by rocky outcrops at each end with no vehicle access at all. You will be able to stroll along the soft white beaches in virtual isolation except for possibly a few locals trying their hand at some beach fishing. After toe tapping with the Southern Ocean you will make your way back to the boat where you will be served refreshments while you commence your trip back up the river.

Afternoon CruiseEnjoy an afternoon stroll on the beach. We will cruise down the river with all the fun and interpretation of the morning cruise. To add additional cheer, feel free to bring along that bottle of wine or a few beers. With a fridge, wine glasses and toilet all on board, you only need your drinks. Our courtesy bus departs the Karri Valley pick up point at 1400 (departure time and availability may vary by season). We also pick up at the Pemberton Visitors Centre at 1330 and the Manjimup Visitors Centre at 1300, by previous arrangement. Evening Cruise and Curry NightEnjoy an Evening Cruise and watch the sunset, then be enchanted on the return trip with the river under lights. Enjoy a beautiful Three Curry Meal! Bring along a bottle of wine or a few drinks and relax for the evening. This tour departs Manjimup Visitors Centre at 1500, Pemberton Visitors Centre at 1530 and Karri Valley pick up point at 1600. Returns approximately between 2100 – 2200. Minimum numbers apply and bookings are essential. Morning CruiseRelax with a morning cruise on this pristine river. With a casual but informative commentary, you will learn some of the history of the area and view its beautiful flora and native wildlife. After a brief walk on the sandy beach (conditions permitting), we will cruise back up the river enjoying a complimentary morning tea with fantastic muffins. Our courtesy bus departs the Karri Valley pick up point at 0900 (departure time and availability may vary by season).
