Oliomio Olive and Lavender Farm
Oliomio Olive and Lavender Farm is situated in West Toodyay in Parkland Drive, just a 20 minute drive from Toodyay or through the Chittering Valley into Julimar Road. While here, check out our own extra virgin olive oil, pickled olives, tapenade and dukkah, feel and smell our six varieties of pure olive oil soap, stroll among the lavender patch or view the great variety of lavender products (cosmetics, mustard, apple jelly), pottery, jewellery and our delicious lavender ice cream, all available from our olive shop.
Coaches/groups can be accommodated by arrangement for tastings of some of the above products as well as refreshments.
Nestled in the hills with glorious views, west of Toodyay, Oliomio Olive and Lavender Farm is the home of Barbara and Francis Moran. This quiet rural retreat has evolved as a result of a desire to change from a suburban professional career towards a more self- sufficient farm.
Our olive grove began in 1996 on a small scale with our first planting of three different varieties.
Having fallen in love with the olive we have progressively planted every year since and at this stage we have 300 trees.
The year 2001 saw our first commercial crop harvested for table olives, tapenade and pure olive oil soap. We are now producers of our own extra virgin olive oil. 2007 saw our best ever harvest in spite of the climatic conditions.
Complimentary to our olive production, French Lavender was planted in 1999. From our initial 1000 plants, we have grown highly regarded long stemmed lavender flowers for the cut flower market. Over the years we have extended our lavender to include many English varieties.
