A journey of discovery awaits you now at the Naturaliste Marine Discovery Centre (NMDC).
Come along and explore Western Australia’s oceans and rivers through vibrant displays and interactive exhibits.
Get up close to some local marine species at our rock pool, touch table and aquariums; watch real-time vision of what’s happening around the HMAS Perth, a shipwreck off Albany; pull on a pearl divers helmet; view into working fisheries research laboratories' and much more!
The NMDC has all major facilities including a gift shop, café, disability access and ample parking for cars and buses. We are also surrounded by a wide range of other shops and tourist attractions that comprise Hillarys Boat Harbour.
The NMDC is located just 20 minutes north of the Perth Central Business District. There is plenty of free parking near the building (but please note the signs that designate ‘no parking’ before 12 noon in the car parking area next to the boat launching ramp).
There’s always something new on offer at the NMDC including exciting new school holiday activities, exhibitions, education programs and special events.
It’s an entertaining, affordable and educational experience – so take the plunge soon!
