Commissariat Store
This building was erected by Lieut Ducane R.E. who was responsible for supervising the convict work parties engaged in building and road construction in the Swan, York and Toodyay districts.
Construction equipment and materials were housed in the long store at the rear of the building, and the quarters at the front provided accommodation for the storekeeper and his assistant.
Since the building was vacated by the Convict Department in 1878, it has been used by the local Council for a variety of purposes, and is now the headquarters of the Garrick Theatre.
