Northam Town Hall

The Town Hall is one of the most interesting historical buildings in Northam and is listed with the National Trust.

It was opened by Sir John Forrest in 1898 and is typical of the Italianate excesses which afflicted Western Australia in the wake of the gold discoveries.

The town hall is an imposing, grand building which has served as an invaluable venue for meetings and entertainment for generations. Art exhibitions and the Annual Northam Arts Festival is staged here, which attracts people from all over Western Australia.
