Worsley Alumina Minesite
Bauxite is mined and crushed at the Worsley Alumina Minesite at Boddington.
Crushed ore is then transported 51 kilometres by overland conveyor to the refinery. The 51 kilometre conveyor from the Boddington mine site to the refinery at Worsley is the longest of its type in the world. The conveyor system contains more than 200 kilometres of wire rope (drive cable) and approximately 100 kilometres of rubber belt.
Boddington is situated one and a haf hours south east of Perth.
