The Aboriginal Art Gallery Kings Park overlooks the Swan River and Perth City. The Gallery specialises in Aboriginal art and craft that is indigenous to Western Australia.
Art is central to Aboriginal Culture. In a culture with no written language, art was used to record the beliefs and stories from the Dreaming, and to pass these on to successive generations. Art, while still fulfilling this earlier role, is now also being used to express and describe contemporary issues impacting on their lives.
