Marmion Marine Park
Just offshore from Perth, the sparkling waters of Marmion Marine Park offer excellent diving, snorkelling, fishing and swimming.
The park stretches from Trigg Island to Burns Rock about five kilometres offshore and is home to all kinds of marine life including pods of bottlenose dolphins, sea lions and migrating humpback whales. Whale watching and dolphin watching cruises regularly operate in the area, allowing you to get up close to these amazing creatures.
The shallow lagoons, reefs and tiny islands make Marmion Marine Park a favourite for all kinds of water-based activities.
Boyinaboat Reef near Hillarys offers excellent diving thanks to colourful coral formations and diverse marine life. There are also many underwater caves.
The calm and tranquil waters of Mettams Pool are ideal for safe family swimming and snorkelling. Fishing is a popular pastime and the beaches, reefs and rock walls provide some excellent vantage points.
With its many cafes and restaurants Hillarys Boat Harbour is a popular spot for locals and visitors. Many dive, snorkelling and cruise tours to the marine park operate from Hillary’s Boat Harbour.
Marion Marine Park starts at Trigg Island, about a 20 minute drive from Perth.
