Yellagonga Regional Park
Yellagonga Regional Park is located 20 kilometres north of Perth and adjoins the city centres of Joondalup and Wanneroo. Within the 1,500 hectare park are Lakes Joondalup and Goollelal, and the Walluburnup and Beenyup Swamps. These wetlands provide a summer refuge for migratory birds and support a variety of wildlife species.
While at Yellagonga you can visit the historical village at Perry's Paddock, Cockman House, or check out the old Luisini Winery. It is a great place for bushwalking, birdwatching, picnicking or a barbecue.
The main recreational area is known as Neil Hawkins Park, where there are picnic tables, barbecues, a playground, grassed areas, public toilets, a car park and information about the park.
Yellagonga Regional Park is a great place to visit all year round.
