The Blue Room Theatre

The Blue Room Theatre houses two performance spaces for audiences of up to 60 people; box office and bar (open one hour prior to show start times); and two rehearsal rooms.

The heritage building (original Science lab of the Perth Central School) was recently renovated to improve access and facilities. It retains a mural by Tom Alberts, listed as a significant artwork by the Art Gallery of WA.

The Blue Room is a trading name of the Performing Arts Centre Society (PACS), a membership-based not-for-profit organisation which provides resources and services to independent performing arts practitioners.

The Blue Room Theatre seeks to support what is urgent and interesting, and invites a risk-taking audience to its year-round program of diverse, new works of performance by West Australian artists from all areas of theatre practice.

As well as housing The Blue Room Theatre and its administration, the venue is an active hub where artists meet, develop, rehearse, produce, review and collaborate. There is one official 'Meet the Artists' night for each production, but you will often find theatre makers and enthusiasts networking in The Blue Room Theatre bar.

The Blue Room Theatre offers group and student discounts, and also honours Companion Cards.
