2006 represents a landmark year for West Australian Opera as we present for the first time in the company’s 39 year history a Wagner opera; Tristan und Isolde. This is first time a fully staged Wagner opera has been presented in Perth and will provide a unique artistic experience for our patrons. Being the only Wagner production in Australia this year, the three performance season has already sparked considerable interest and bookings throughout Australia and Asia.
