Let Avon Valley Ballooning introduce you to the gentle joy and total freedom of hot air ballooning. Imagine floating as slowly as a cloud and looking at the world below. What better way to see some of the most spectacular scenery in Australia. Rolling Hills, the Avon River, the patterns of the country side, both man made and carved out by nature.
Your morning begins before dawn when the winds are gentle and a new day about to begin. Your flight lasts approximately one hour. After your flight you will be invited to join in the fun and experience the ancient and mystical art of balloon “pack-er-uppering” . The balloonist’s breakfast will be served by your pilot and crew. During breakfast you will be presented with your prized flight certificate.
Avon Valley Ballooning only deals with individuals and small groups ensuring a personalised service. Our Chief Pilot has over 20 years and 3 200 hours logged in balloons. His licence was first issued in Northam, Western Australia in 1984.
We operate daily from April until late November. Transfers are available to and from the city centre.

We suggest you wear practical clothing that you do not mind getting a little dirty, and bring along a spare pair of shoes (We often take off and land on damp grass). It gets no colder in the Balloon, in fact due to the heat from the burners it gets a little warmer – So if you are thinning a little on top please don't forget the hat. There is no pretty, easy or elegant way of climbing into or out of a balloon basket. You must however be agile enough to do this unaided. Our Breakfast venue has been specially chosen to compliment your morning's experience. The champagne that has been selected to toast your morning's flight is a slightly sweeter bubbly, just dry enough to stimulate the early morning palate and the fresh style ensures a great start to your day. | |
