Wild bushranger valley
The Avon River, about 40 kilometres north-west of Perth, ranges seasonally from a turbulent torrent to a series of quiet rock pools. Native trees, wildflowers, birds and wildlife predominate. This valley was once the haunt of a gentleman bushranger – a highwayman who preferred to avoid violence. more
